Learn the latest skills
The 21st Century Classroom: Creative and Engaging Methodologies course focuses on practical activities that equip participants with strategies to foster a student-centered learning environment.
Effective learning requires active student engagement—more than sitting, listening, or memorizing. Engagement involves students taking ownership of their learning, a key factor in achieving both immediate and long-term success. Inspired by the proverb, “Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime,” this course emphasizes promoting active participation and personal responsibility in learning.
To achieve this, teachers should transition from being instructors to facilitators, guiding students to set goals, make decisions, and develop lifelong problem-solving skills. Shifting from traditional passive learning requires rethinking methods, embracing innovative strategies, and integrating digital tools to motivate students in a 21st-century classroom.
This course connects key concepts—motivation, communication, engagement, and responsibility—with new methodologies to create an environment where active engagement empowers students to take autonomous learning paths for their future success.
The added value of the course is that it offers partner search possibilities for KA1, KA2 and eTwinning activities.
